Update | technical modifications

Last Friday I have been working at Star Twin on my motorcycle. The week before the guys at Star Twin collected the missing parts that were on my wish list. One of the first actions on our to-do list of last Friday was shortening the rear end of the standard Ducati Monster frame. With the angle grinder we chopped of the rear end of the frame, and welded another tube in the open space between the two sides of the frame. Which fitted perfectly due to the cad drawing I prepared earlier.

Next to the frame adjustment we installed the Dellorto carburetors and the K&N filters. A lot of puzzling to get the sets for each of the cylinder installed nicely. The pictures below show the carburetor for the horizontal cylinder, the other one is positioned on the left side; between the other one and the frame tubes.

At the moment the wiring will made, matching the nice Koso RX2N speedometer. And the shopping-list for this week; an exhaust system and a oil cooler.. to be continued!
